LA RECENSIONE

Perhaps the screenwriters thought that making parodies of Hollywood movies always works... they were terribly wrong!

It seems that only the successful series "Scary Movie" has this ability and that's it! Everything else (including Epic Movie) is just a rehash of various nonsense, poorly edited and even worse acted! Imagine, in several shots you could even see the boom microphone over the actors' heads... unbelievable...

The plot is ridiculous and veeeery monotonous. Basically, 4 unlucky orphans (the niece of the Louvre's custodian, a Mexican, a boy with questionable sexual inclinations, and a Namibian girl who survived a plane crash) each find themselves with a voucher for a free visit to the chocolate factory... but as soon as they get there, they discover that Willy Wonka (not sure if I spelled that right) is a madman (though not more than they are) who wants to make ingredients for his chocolate out of their bodies. So they try to escape, running here, running there, they find a wardrobe to hide in (it turns out to be the one from The Chronicles of Narnia) and once inside that wardrobe, they find themselves in the world of "Gnarnia" where they fight the queen Gnocca and eventually become kings of the land.

After dozens of years, they find the wardrobe again and return to the real world where they find the pseudo-Borat dressed in that horrible green costume from the Kazakh movie, and a moment later a giant boulder arrives and crushes them all. End of story.

And to think I spent 5.50 euros to watch it!

Summary by Bot

Epic Movie fails to deliver an entertaining parody, falling short due to a ridiculous and monotonous plot, poor acting, and sloppy editing. The reviewer highlights visible technical mistakes and a lack of humor. Despite attempts to spoof popular films, it mainly rehashes nonsense and leaves audiences disappointed.

"I think that hot movie.... is a colossal piece of crap."

Rather than going to see this film and spending 7 Euros at the cinema, listen to the entire discography of Britney Spears and Paolo Meneguzzi, which perhaps strangely makes more sense.
