THE REVIEW

To me, they are geniuses, perhaps the best band out there, or at least that's what I think.
I bought Turn On The Bright Lights a year late, and so I felt indebted, but besides buying The Black EP, what else could I do? One day, everything seemed the same, I walk into the store, take a look around, nothing new, then the usual stroll to see how many copies are left of the albums I already own, I'm about to leave, but the clerk, who is a friend of mine, stops me and says, "I have something that might interest you..."

Precipitate, a 2001 EP, extremely rare, only 4 songs, but who cares, it's very rare, and it only costs 10 euros. It's mine. The songs already have the embryo of Turn On The Bright Lights, they are all rather long, dark, poignant, confused, beautiful. Precipitate, Song Seven, PDA, A Time To Be So Small.

The version of PDA is slightly slower, more garage and the bass line is slightly different, especially in the coda, as for the remaining songs they were never republished, they are outtakes, immature attempts, as can be seen from the strange vocal effect of A Time To Be So Small, but they are beautiful mistakes, splendid pieces that certainly do not deserve to remain forgotten.
This record envelops, it carries with it the desire to surface, to breathe. Magnificent.
