Information Society is an American synth-pop/electronic group formed in Minneapolis in 1982. They broke through with the 1988 hit “What’s on Your Mind (Pure Energy),” and their catalog spans bright synth-pop, freestyle, and later industrial/EBM turns. Core members include Kurt Harland, Paul Robb, and James Cassidy.
