Just when it would have been easy (let's say fairly easy) to opt for non-sold out solutions, perhaps accommodating ones, and fit into a sound context where you are not recognized for who you are, but for what (the genre) you play - which is depressing - Infection Code do not yield to any hypothetical temptation and make their musical vision even more complex.
Not for nothing, "Intimacy" is the most ambitious work (the third) released by the Italian formation, as well as the one where their personality emerges best. Choices have been rationalized and elaborated with the understanding that the path to complexity can be tackled only by putting courage, accompanied by clear ideas, first. And so the eight songs were born, which are inserted in a certainly disturbed, twisted, mutable, and never standardized emotional/atmospheric context. Indeed, even though I understand that promotion (and criticism) must rely on definite references to allow the reader, or those interested in purchasing, to orient themselves, in this specific case, I do not deem it necessary to mention any names, because "Intimacy" reveals the band's individuality.
Post metal and post hardcore are solid starting points, but they are immersed in apocalyptic and cybernetic scenarios made of instrumental and vocal alienations, psychedelic dilations and mutable industrial suffocations. Not everything is perfect yet, despite the production support from his holiness Billy Anderson (Kiss It Goodbye, Neurosis, Bongzilla, EyeHateGod, Logical Nonsense, Brutal Truth, Swans, Sourvein, Melvins, etc.), because at times the sound seems a bit "bogged down," yet they show to be well on their way (let's say 3.6/5).
