Among the innumerable collections that cover the period from 1974, the year marking the end of the STOOGES after the chaos of the last concert at the Michigan Palace, to 1977, the year of our revival in full new wave, this is undoubtedly the most complete and unlike previous ones, boasts really excellent recording quality.
Anyone who thinks that Iggy, after the group's collapse, was left alone doing nothing in some remote dive, is mistaken. It is precisely during this period that Iggy, together with the inseparable guitarist James Williamson, seeks new ideas, showing a certain interest in soul. He spends a lot of time in the recording studio, resulting in a wonderful album (around 1975), but it would only see the light in 1977 under the name 'Kill City'. 7 songs are contained here in all their splendor. The collection also covers the 'Raw Power' period with alternate tracks and pieces taken from 'Rough Power' (the album without Bowie's mix).
In addition to the legendary "Jesus Loves the Stooges" here in all its 7 minutes of decadence (in many collections there is only the instrumental part). A simply fundamental album with tracks that, after 20 years, have not lost a shred of charm, Stooges the greatest rock n roll band of all time.
