THE REVIEW

”You’ll find What you find When you find there’s nothing.” .... The sense of melancholy from the Scottish countryside oozes from the words of this group that still believes in British pop and echoes all its tenets. At times they remind me of R.E.M.'s “the one I love”, and in moments (..we shudder) the Inspiral Carpets, especially in the choruses of “You held the world in your hands”. You can also find the annoying British arrogance of those who shouted “I want to be adored”. In short, an elegant way to be neither fish nor fowl. This is actually the surface. The lyrics aren't bad and deserved further exploration. These words, somewhere between rough and melancholic, addressed to an imaginary “you”, to an ideal or real human being depending on how the listener chooses to shape it, that create worlds and erase them a minute later. The classic romantic theme of disillusioned hope is annoyingly persistent. In the end, it brings a tear to the eye. Not recommended for those who aren't in the best period of their love life! ... “Stay the same, if we can’t be the same We won’t stay the same Our similar thoughts will never let us Stay the same, if we can’t be the same We won’t stay the same as we intend” :-(

This is one of those albums you don’t forget.

ALL the backing vocals, architected in an impeccable manner from an artistic standpoint.
