It was a long death sleep that lasted several months for me.

But now I'm back; I couldn't take any more of the continuous "calls" from that guy from Lake Bracciano. "A ridatece Genital Grinder!!" he kept shouting since I decided to bury myself.

At the stroke of midnight, I emerged from my cold tomb; from my muddy grave teeming with worms. To bring some sordid and terrifying music to the homepage; because lately, we have softened a lot. Even De Marga himself has long abandoned the most extreme metal; a remedy is urgently needed.

And let there be an auditory massacre then.

From the darkest and most barbaric Swedish caves come Peter Tagtgren's Hypocrisy, here engaged in a leading EP for the subsequent masterpiece of their discography: that "The Fourth Dimension" already reviewed by that other degenerate creature, my close relative, bearing the contemptible name of Excreted Alive.

But today I want to focus on "Inferior Devoties" and its five disastrous tracks; a work built around monumental Death Metal school riffs. Such aggressive malevolence that it pushes all the way into Black Metal territory; executive ferocity reminiscent of Morbid Angel's "Covenant" and the typical crushing sound of Entombed-Dismember school guitars.

Hypocrisy is down to three members, after the original singer's defection. Peter is forced to handle the vocal parts as well and proves completely competent in this new role. A dark singing, a heavy, gloomy, and suffocating growl that leaves its mark. A mark of blood and foamy rage.

"Symbol Of Baphomet" is one of those deadly boulders that offer no forgiveness: a lightning-fast Thrash-Death that suddenly undergoes a slowdown you wouldn't expect for being so abrupt. A few seconds to catch your breath; immediately after, Lars's cyclopean drums resume blazing, abyssal rhythms, and the track picks up the same speed as the beginning. The aggression continues relentlessly in the next two songs, which eventually give way to a Slayer cover.

This is "Black Magic": a true declaration of war. Three minutes and twenty-four seconds that pin you down, penetrate you through and through, destroy you. Hypocrisy interprets it in their way: even faster than the original, with such a frantic drum that it always seems ahead of the other instruments. Listen to just the last part, and you'll want to start all over, forever...GOD IS A LIE...

This is just the beginning.
