The Profile

Hermano is an American stoner/desert rock band formed in 1998 by vocalist John Garcia (ex-Kyuss). Early lineups included Steve Earle (The Afghan Whigs) on drums alongside members such as Dandy Brown and David Angstrom. The group released three studio albums: Only A Suggestion (2002), Dare I Say... (2004), and ...Into the Exam Room (2007).

Features John Garcia (ex-Kyuss). Stoner/desert rock from the U.S. Albums: Only A Suggestion (2002), Dare I Say... (2004), ...Into the Exam Room (2007). Steve Earle (The Afghan Whigs) played drums in early performances.

Three DeBaser takes on Hermano’s stoner/desert rock: the debut Only A Suggestion gets glowing praise, Dare I Say... is recalled as decent but less fresh, and ...Into the Exam Room catches a harsh 2/5 for flat songwriting. A 2002 Berlin show wins hearts (and euros), capped by a Kyuss encore that leaves the crowd ecstatic.
