Heinrich Ignaz Franz Biber

Requiem in La maggiore ■ The Mad Pianist

The opening of the Work is extraordinary in its modernity: a Funeral March that begins with the Sieves alone, in an atmosphere of great anticipation.

The Requiem Aeternam is a prayer both subdued and convinced, a poignant plea for mercy for the soul of the deceased.

Listen to Biber’s sublime Requiem in A Major and experience a moving journey through Baroque sacred music.
