You know what I say? You can't, I haven't written it yet! I say enough! Enough with shootings with machine guns and rifles, they have really bored me. When it's too much, it's too much! Enough with explosions and killings, away with the well-known zombies and monstrosities.

So what do we do? We opt for a Japanese Vg, a jrpg complete with a lovable local speech, but with not particularly complex English subtitles.

The developer Gust has considerable experience in this Vg genre, considering that the Atelier series has been on the scene for over twenty years, but it hasn't managed to achieve worldwide success. Step by step, slowly, it has made its way to shine with this delightful title. It doesn't have excellent graphics, but it is fluid and colorful, tender and moving. For me, it is a gem that deserves to be played and experienced.

The strengths are the no-frills, fast, satisfying turn-based combat system, never boring. Not to forget the intricate part dedicated to alchemy which is harder to explain than to perform. As time goes by, you will become more and more skilled.

Its longevity is more than satisfactory, despite some drop in tone and some narrative sections that are a bit too meandering. You will explore enchanted forests, mysterious caves, sunny beaches, lost temples, and much more.

The protagonist is Ryza, a reckless well-proportioned girl, with an inexhaustible passion for alchemy. No obstacle can stop her, even in the face of dangers and puzzles, always supported by the continuous increase in alchemical experience, essential for a multitude of tasks, even unexpected ones.

The friends who will join in the journey of uncovering mysteries hidden behind the apparent tranquility of daily life in the village of Rasenboden on Kurken Island are surprisingly well characterized. The inseparable Tao and Lent stand out above all. The former is shy and fearful, the latter is impetuous and combative. Later, the ethereal Klaudia will join. Further along, the intellectual Empel and the busty Lila will arrive.

I stop for a moment to observe the beach and the scenery with its bright colors. I fish a few fish and gather materials for alchemy. I watch the sun and the water smile at me, and I smile back at them. For an instant, everything crystallizes like in a dream, and one feels serene.
