The swan song. Here's the perfect description for this album. It's the last work before the breakup of a band that has always managed to bring out the best of itself live. A group that has produced several singles but has never managed to make that extra leap in quality.
Four people whose sole objective has always been to make healthy rock, energetic, genuine. Catchy. But pleasantly listenable, especially thanks to the voice of singer Sandra Nasic, capable of both scratching and soothing. An album to be listened to when you're under the covers, thoughts racing through your head, before falling into Orpheus's arms. Songs like "You Can't Stop Me," "Dick," and "Kiss The Down" are in classic Guano Apes style, easily recognizable if you own one of their previous two works. Good rhythm, excellent guitar and bass, complemented by a calm and angry voice at the same time.
Songs that can pump you up, make you dream (and even cry..) like "Pretty In Scarlet," "Quietly," or "Electric Nights." Then the quartet disbands, deciding to pursue different paths after producing songs like "Lords Of The Board," "No Speech," and the cover of "Big In Japan." After all, they said it themselves. You walk a fine line, where you risk falling, and suddenly everything ends...
