THE REVIEW

"Norwegians completely immersed in a stormy Hard-Rock sound; with a fierce and uncontrolled execution speed of the individual tracks. Among the best exponents of that Scandinavian scene devoted to the cult of MC5, Stooges, and Motorhead...I GOT A WAR..."

Not entirely accidental, my self-quotation today.

Which I will promptly explain: the band's third work opens with the auditory earthquake of I Got A War.

Gluecifer: "the devil's glue" is the free translation of the name chosen by this band of madmen.

Tender Is The Savage: "tender is the savage"...same as the line above.

Hard and Roll played without brakes; with that exaggerated punk energy that nails you to listening.

Coming out with broken bones after seeing them live for the album tour at the legendary Rainbow in Milan.

They don't invent anything but put so much grit into it that you wouldn't expect from a band coming from the icy Norwegian lands.

Smoky cover that well introduces the dynamic and angry sound of the work.

Even more explicit internal booklet photo: the five immortalized in a sordid bathroom. Two of them engaged in their personal excretions; two others "laid out" and knocked out by some excessive alcoholic libation. Only the singer Biff Malibu (a name as a program!!) seems to still appear to hold up, leaning against the door jambs of his own toilet.

In some passages of the record, they try to slow the pace, thanks to the production of a certain Daniel Rey (someone from Lake Bracciano should know him since he worked with that gang of sound agitators coming from Puerto Rico...).

But when they push to the max, they deliver the best moments of the album: and then it is recommended to blast through headphones the machine-gun shots of Ducktail Heat, Drunk And Pompous, and Sputnik Monroe. With the aforementioned I Got A War added.

A drum that knows, not too well, only one tempo; a bass placed randomly just to make some healthy noise; two overheated guitars supporting Biff's awkward proclamations. Choruses and chants scattered along the way.

All perfect ingredients for an album that borders on perfection.

Excited Gluecifer!!!

Summary by Bot

Gluecifer’s third album, Tender Is the Savage, delivers raw and furious hard rock with punk energy rooted in Scandinavian influences. The band’s relentless speed and gritty sound combine with vivid visuals of reckless lifestyle. Produced partially by Daniel Rey, the album balances chaotic bursts and occasional slower moments but shines best in its explosive tracks like 'I Got A War' and 'Ducktail Heat.' A powerful and exciting record that embodies a rough but captivating rock spirit.
