Welsh rock band formed in 2005 by Andrew (Andy) Falkous after the breakup of Mclusky. Early line-up included Kelson Louis Tregurtha Mathias (bass, vocals) and Jack William Egglestone (drums). The band blends punk energy, noise-rock abrasiveness and melodic hooks.

Formed after Mclusky’s 2005 split. Debut album Curses released in 2007; Travels With Myself and Another reviewed in 2009; How to Stop Your Brain in an Accident reviewed as a 2013 release. Line-up and origins are discussed in DeBaser reviews.

DeBaser reviews present Future of the Left as a Welsh alternative/post-hardcore band formed from the ashes of Mclusky. Reviews praise the band's mix of punk, noise and melodic hooks across albums such as Curses and Travels With Myself and Another. Later releases received more mixed reactions but the band's energetic, often ironic style is consistently noted.

For:Fans of post-hardcore, noise rock and alternative punk; listeners of McLusky and energetic, ironic guitar-driven music.
