Frostmoon Eclipse

La Spezia-based extreme metal band formed around guitarist Claudio Arcara. After demos and EPs in the 1990s, they began releasing full-length albums in the 2000s; The End Stands Silent was released in 2011 on French label Osmose Productions.

Sonia Steelhead's DeBaser review (2013) describes the band as "one of the best extreme Italian acts," mentions guitarist Claudio Arcara and the scream vocals of Lorenzo Sassi, and compares passages to Opeth and Dissection while noting doom-like slowdowns and folk/ acoustic inserts.

The review highlights the band's blend of uncompromising black metal with atmospheric, progressive, doom and folk elements.
