- The Veneto province in one of its most emblematic interpretations. Alcohol as a litmus test for the depth of a friendship. Like it or not, that's how it is in Veneto. If you can’t handle your alcohol among friends, well then... The choir of the Lanerossi is one of the finest examples: "Anche stasera torneremo insachetà!" Insachetà means dead drunk. Doriano and Carlobianchi are the deep, popular Veneto, and in some ways, left-wing. Those who have spent time in the heavy bars of Veneto know that beyond a certain level of blood alcohol, even the most ignorant of patrons can reach the heights of philosophy. It's always been this way. Our grandparents did it. It’s the driving force behind the Alpini. Doriano and Carlobianchi are the small craftsmen, the workers, and the last farmers. They are the perfect losers in this capitalist society. The society of performance. The society of Cocaine. But with alcohol, no. With alcohol, everything slows down. Alcohol is the revolt of the Last, who will be defeated. But who will fight until the end with a glass of wine in hand!

This film doesn’t quite live up to its promise.
Despite some attempts at depth, the execution falls flat.
