LA RECENSIONE

"A forest... a forgotten forest, where you can release your own sadness, your own screams of pain, while sweet and hypnotic music surrounds you, making you feel one with nature."

This is what I thought while listening to this CD by the Norwegians Forgotten Woods, creators of a fascinating blend of gothic atmospheres and the raw and feral coldness of the most crude Norwegian black metal (imagine a less evil and more melodic Count Grishnack and you'll have a rough idea of what I'm talking about).

Only 3 songs, for a total duration of 30 minutes, characterized by a raw production just right that knows how to best render pearls like "En natt med storm og ravners skrik" and "Hvor vinteren rar."

For me, this is a great album, I recommend giving it a listen, you might also be captured by the forgotten forest...
