 Forget backing tracks and overdubs, here the feeling is everything, and if a vocal passage is a bit sharp or an instrument hits an imperfect note, so be it; the important thing is the atmosphere, the soul of the piece.

 An avalanche race for just over three minutes, without taking prisoners, one of the most rock things I’ve ever heard, practically ultra-punk if it weren’t for the fact that these guys can play.

Foghat

Foghat are an English boogie/blues-rock band formed in London in 1971 by former Savoy Brown members Dave “Lonesome Dave” Peverett, Roger Earl, and Tony Stevens, with slide guitarist Rod Price joining soon after. They found major success in the U.S., propelled by the 1975 hit “Slow Ride” from Fool for the City and the bestselling concert set Foghat Live. The band has continued with lineup changes; Peverett died in 2000 and Price in 2005, with drummer Roger Earl carrying the torch.
