LA RECENSIONE

There is something that eludes those who are omnivorous, spasmodic, and gargantuanly ravenous for music. Not music understood as being fixated on a band or a genre, but the continuous encyclopedic and meticulous search in every single nook and cranny of the world where someone has released music with a fart.
Here, in this chase of Achilles' tortoise, I sometimes come across pieces that are contemporary and, at times, old; this is the case with the first single by Flipper, which is somewhat seminal.

Love Canal is a pachydermal catharsis of noise and visceral hypnosis, the three feedbacks of the intro sizzle the gonads with immense pleasure.
Ha Ha Ha is the (almost) total genesis of what Pixies and Nirvana have contributed to music: parodic, off-kilter, yet with its melodic balance.

Generic may have its peaks (Sex Bomb, Life is Cheap, Ever), but like these two tracks, Flipper never.
