Two reviews connect fIREHOSE to the Minutemen’s spirit while noting a shift toward tighter songcraft. If'n is praised for eclectic cohesion, from folk elegies to funky detours, with nods to CCR and R.E.M. Ragin', Full-On is framed as a brisk, progressive-minded debut that bends punk energy into rock form. Overall tone is admiring and historically aware.
