Here we are facing a new band from Ireland, specifically from Dublin. Epta7 was formed in 2012. They made their debut with their first work "Eptasystem", a concentrate of Industrial metal with really interesting Thrash inserts.

The album opens with "Fallen Gabriel", a fast-paced track from the very first notes with a suggestive break to restart powerful and fast; the guitar's rhythm is excellently crafted, and the piece continues in a crescendo with Snow's voice holding the listener on edge. The platter continues with "Walking Ghost," a good mid-tempo with Dave Peach's guitar rhythm creating a sound wall with truly claustrophobic inserts, the rhythmic section supports it all with precision and without smudges, reminiscent of some old school thrash like Testament to give an idea. The Italo-Irish combo manages to be reasonably personal, and the scores of the third track Eptasystem provide a certain Pantera-like atmosphere, excellent work by Gianz V. (former drummer of the well-known Italian Gothic metal band Levania) on the drums. However, it's with "Moon Canvas" that Epta7 offers a breath of fresh air: even with certain typical stylistic features between thrash and Industrial, it is a track that compels one to follow the groove with ease, nothing hyper-technical, but rather harmonious in the song's simplicity. A singing that recalls Testament in the chorus. The record maintains excellent levels without tiring, thanks to the brilliant choice of the setlist.

This "Eptasystem" is a nice surprise in the Industrial scene, enjoying a good personality and separating itself from the monotony of certain releases in this genre. The Irish land confirms itself as a school of excellent bands where Epta7 is one of those bands to follow without a doubt. Good ideas inevitably influenced by what has been done in the past but nonetheless a debut worthy of note.
