"Black Hole" is the title of the substantial moloch placed at the opening of the album (feel DeSample).
Indeed, this seems to be the direction towards which the sound emitted by the colossal Norwegian Elephant wishes to transport us in this third studio album completed at the end of last year.
The three vikings of Rune Grammofon, joined in this phase by the mangled guitar of the Swede Fiske (already Landberk), weave a changing space-time journey that at first glance seems oriented towards the sterile citation of a clouded yet recognizable past but ultimately proves capable of projecting us towards a luminous, tangible present.
The album is built around seven entirely instrumental sections of remarkable average length (three exceed ten minutes abundantly) within which the literally crazed Hammond organ of Ståle Storløkken (also known as Supersilent) orgiastically oversees the operations, inducing his tentacular venture companions into a tortuous, multiform, extremely physical jazz-progressive of rare effectiveness and sanguine instrumental resolve; the more one listens, the more one is overpowered by the carnal process of entanglement in which our (limited) capacity for discernment is inexorably crushed.
A dazzling maelström for indefatigable admirers of Area, EL&P, and, given the latitude, Burzum!
