A trio of rock enthusiasts gather in the studio, supported by a genuine rock artist like Clara Moroni (the vocalist of Vasco Rossi, producer, as well as special guest and great performer in the standout track of the EP, the beautiful Running up that hill by Kate Bush, which recently came back into the limelight thanks to the TV series Stranger Things) and decide to remake some classics from the 80s. The choices are wonderful. Dancing with tears in my eyes by Ultravox, one of the band's best songs. The melancholic State of the nation by Industry, a mega international hit. And then Tainted love by Soft Cell, the iconic Blue Monday by New Order. Oh, for 80s music enthusiasts, it's a wonderful refresh of the memories of that amazing decade, a backward journey that is revitalized by a very rock approach, with hints of techno as well. Because, clearly, a lot of time has passed between the 80s and today. Three decades of music that talented musicians like those of Elektrobot have certainly absorbed and managed to magically incorporate into these highly successful remakes.
