"Anyone who loves Black cannot help but listen to it, as it is not too difficult to listen to the album."

"Good and non-repetitive music, an excellent rhythm... clean recording and, above all, perfect both voice and lyrics."

Mgła's 'Groza' stands as a compelling full-length black metal album from Poland. Blending satanic and suicide themes with influences from old-school black metal, the album offers four tracks that vary in pacing and aggression. The production is clean, and the musicianship, especially the drumming, is praised. 'Groza' is recommended for black metal enthusiasts seeking a dynamic yet accessible listen. Listen to Mgła's 'Groza' now and experience Polish black metal at its finest!

"It’s not commercial music, it’s an outlet and a way to express rage and wickedness, to convey the darkest emotions."

"Practically anyone would define this album as crap, if not worse. Yet, in my opinion, this music should be taken into consideration."

Unholy Plague's Untitled Album is a brief, intense experience in Polish raw black metal, featuring distorted guitars, aggressive screams, and very lo-fi production. Despite the harsh and chaotic sound that may repel many listeners, the album effectively channels feelings of rage and darkness. The reviewer acknowledges its artistic value within a niche audience but warns casual listeners of its challenging nature. Dive into the raw fury of Unholy Plague's Untitled Album and experience black metal’s darkest emotions in their purest underground form.

The album starts with 'Halls Of Moria', and after these 6 minutes begins, in my opinion, the most beautiful track of the demo: 'In Minas Morgul Death Awaits'.

I believe this disc is really good, an innovative Black Metal in my opinion, certainly not for the lyrics (many have exploited Tolkien by now), but for the way of conceiving the songs and the dark touch that that misanthrope Lord Cabal knows how to give.

Ringwraith's 2004 demo 'Tales From The Middle Earth' offers a challenging yet rewarding Black Metal experience. With five tracks inspired by Tolkien's universe, the demo impresses through its melancholic and epic atmosphere. The standout tracks feature memorable intros and a unique dark style, recommended mainly for dedicated enthusiasts rather than newcomers. Dive into the dark, epic world of Ringwraith’s 'Tales From The Middle Earth' – a must-listen for devoted Black Metal fans!

"I certainly can’t call 'Arid' a beautiful album by classic standards, even within Funeral Doom, Drone, and Dark Ambient it is nothing exceptional, but I must say that I am very satisfied with it."

"It must definitely be listened to multiple times; for me, it remains a 4-star album."

Nyctophobia's 'Arid' is a 2009 instrumental album marked by long, repetitive, and dark tracks blending Funeral Doom, Drone, and Dark Ambient. Though not conventionally beautiful, its atmospheric depth and experimental nature make it compelling. Each track offers unique sonic textures, from subtle piano interludes to distorted guitar and ambient noise. The album is recommended for fans of niche heavy music willing to engage deeply and listen multiple times. Dive into Nyctophobia's 'Arid' and experience a haunting blend of Funeral Doom and Drone like never before.

The Death Doom voice... isn’t the usual gloomy and cold scream common in this genre.

These guys aren’t remotely interested in that, nor in achieving success, nor in pleasing people.

Beyond The Pillars is Nyctophobia's sole Funeral Doom EP, notable for its slow, repetitive riffs and distinctive Death Doom vocal style. The three tracks cultivate a dark, obsessive atmosphere with subtle instrumental variations and ambient touches. Although not groundbreaking, the EP delivers a compelling and authentic doom experience. The band's disregard for mainstream appeal is evident, focusing instead on artistic expression within their niche genre. Dive into the dark and immersive world of Nyctophobia's Beyond The Pillars—listen now and experience a truly unique Funeral Doom journey.
