Malon is an excellent musician and the production work is meticulous, but the fact that it is technically valid cannot suffice because it lacks that something extra that would make it an excellent work.

In the end, summing it all up... a predictable album, at times even boring and quite obvious, and it is a shame because Matthieu Malon has the electronic knowledge and technique to produce better works.

Laudanum's second album showcases meticulous production and strong electronic skills but suffers from weak songwriting. A few tracks like 'Collide' stand out emotionally, and collaborations add some interest. However, much of the album feels predictable, stagnant, and occasionally boring despite its potential. Discover Laudanum's 'Your Place & Time Will Be Mine' and judge the electro-pop nuances for yourself!

10 tracks create a dark, shadowy, nocturnal, deeply melancholic atmosphere that never gives way to sadness.

Definitely a positive debut for the 'Vacabou' project.

Vacabou's self-titled debut album, originally released in 2003 and distributed in Europe in 2005, offers a rich blend of electronic pop-rock with trip-hop elements. The Franco-Spanish duo’s work, led by Juan Feliu’s composition and Pascale Saravelli’s voice, creates a dark, melancholic yet intriguing atmosphere. The album’s 10 tracks showcase diverse instrumentation and subtle influences from artists like Royksopp and Bjork. It emerges as a strong and compelling first offering. Discover Vacabou’s captivating debut album and immerse yourself in its dark electronic pop-rock soundscape today!
