Luigi Tozzi - Deep Blue: Volume 3 (Continuous Mix)

Italy that doesn’t know how to play

Are we under attack from @[WHOI5DRE]?
If this is a strategy to get us to end up on your site, you could have just linked it directly here...
Alright, I’m going to check it out now, since you say you have the tracks and maybe you’re even good and nice. In the meantime, please try to learn how to use the site.

I don't want to complain about the YouTube algorithm which, despite what I often hear, works quite well for me and recommends interesting stuff with a decent frequency, but... Stai lì - Gen Verde

Why???

I was about to hit send and (I SWEAR) the URL of the video now shows it ends with "perchenoisi".

Which seems like an answer to the question asked above.

What the hell is going on?

Il rock è morto

from an interview with Giovanni Succi:
Question: in the song "rock is dead," I find every line striking. Especially the focus on that part of the musical critique that is stuck in certain classic rock patterns. In this vein, I would like to know your opinion on the current state of our rock, both the underground and the one in the media spotlight.

"As an author, I don’t address the critics; I address the audience, people who listen, or who could genuinely listen. Flesh-and-blood people that I might face and look in the eye. If a certain type of rock fan were to listen to that piece, it was important for me to point out that if anyone is killing rock here, it’s them. The lyrics are explicit, they will recognize themselves. The media chase after the tastes of the audience, not the other way around: we shouldn't always shift the responsibility elsewhere. The mainstream rock audience is backward-looking and reactionary, meaning resistant to any form of change, come what may. The media know this. And this is how it behaves towards rock, a popular music that has always lived (since its inception) and perhaps survives through metamorphosis, contamination, leaps and risks, not mummies. With the same attitude, you would have kept the Beatles stuck at Love Me Do.
As for the current events in Italy, I assume you’re referring to the success of Måneskin; I believe they demonstrate one fact: that incredibly talented, beautiful, and fully convinced young people, EVEN IF ITALIAN, can still make it with the first three chords of Smoke On The Water in 2021. Just as it happened with Sfera Ebbasta in his time: too good to be ignored. Does that sound bad to you? I see only beauty: it’s rock’n’roll. “Live to win, born to lose” was Lemmy’s motto. And they have won, period. They don’t invent anything? So what do they need to? Have you seen them? So leave the dirty work to us sick flies and enjoy the party without being a pain in the ass."
