Alice - La recessione -

You tell me if it's possible, starting from the lyrics of a sensitive corrupter of youth, to write a song more beautiful than this.
Felt - The Splendour Of Fear (Full Album)

Essential "jangle pop" from the perfidious Albion: in our view, comparable and perhaps even superior to the Sound themselves. Sitar scales, impressive melodies and "climaxes" marked by sharpness and arrangements, scholarly evocations of "surf." We listened to a version of "The Optimist and the Poet" a few days after our aunt's wedding, which then went miserably awry (but the reception was excellent, even if lacking in kosher delicacies: a year later, the Polish pope would go to pay homage to the elder brothers in their den) at a gathering of old comrades defeated by history and life: but never subdued.
Argine - Le luci di Hessdalen

A village where strange phenomena occur, and where perhaps the last lords of the Arii of the West reside.
Van Stephenson - Never In A Million Years (1989/1990, unreleased AOR - USA) with lyrics

How, from two poorly recorded chords, can an exceptional track emerge, simple and evocatively hyper-romantic. Written by Van Stephenson (+2001) in the late '80s, when everything started to crack; later performed by Laura Branigan (+2004). All gone. Honor to them.
Airiel - In Yr Room

Heavenly suite dream pop with ethereal grooves.
Coroner - Last Entertainment

Excellently apocalyptic European techno-thrash. The greatest, unlike those idiots Slayer.
Cannata "Fortune Teller" 2

Creepy video, with Blavatsky's photo at the beginning: the director had previously worked on some videos of the non-essential Pink Floyd. The arrangements are sumptuous, but this is not AOR: it's top-tier pomp rock. You can also tell by Cannata's subtly démodé hairstyle.
Savatage - When The Crowds Are Gone (Video)

Perhaps the greatest metal ballad of all time. RIP Criss Oliva.
883 - Gli Anni (video clip)

The golden years of the great Real. With a luxurious arrangement, reminiscent of Sylvian in the ivory tones, and in the martial cadence of certain pieces by Sol Invictus. Pezzali's crooning here is unforgettable, moving, epic. Homeric depth.
The Distance - On The Tail Of Hurricane

Ousey is on fire, Kaos on guitar is working wonders. Brilliant, immortal Aor'n'Roll.
Current 93 - Immortal Bird

A piece of impressive intensity. The author, unfortunately, is a prominent Satanist.
Darkwood - Caucasian Tales [HD]

Still the great European tradition.
Argine - Novecento

The greatness of European tradition.
