Yes - Awaken (Symphonic Live 2003) one of the best tracks by Yes...
James Blood Ulmer - Free Lancing - 01 Timeless considered, in the early '80s, the most innovative guitarist in the American jazz scene, from here a sample of his remarkable repertoire... a kind of Hendrix borrowed by jazz or, if you prefer, a jazz musician who took something from Hendrix (even more than something).
Chick Corea - Quartet #2 Part.2 (Dedicated to John Coltrane) Among the many records from Korea, there are certainly some missteps, even spectacular ones. This LP, released in the early 80s during a period filled with his works, most of which were uninspired, is the exception that confirms the rule. It's an inspired LP full of ideas, perhaps not brand new, but well packaged, made more with the heart than with the head, and you can feel it... it's a great one, no ifs or buts, but he needs to remember that more often...
The Blues Band - Dust My Blues old blues lions but in great shape
Dome (B.C. Gilbert/G. Lewis) - Keep It difficult, dark, at times even unpleasant, yet it exudes a great charm and in the end, it is appreciated precisely for its sense of estrangement from everything that is "politically correct" in its own way, and not just that, a masterpiece..
STOMU YAMASH'TA'S EAST BAND - Freedom Is Frightening [full album] one of those records that you don't know how to classify...but in the end who cares...you listen to it and enjoy...
Raimondo Vianello e Gianni Agus - Hippy Sulla Panchina (Sketch 1972) well... let me say this... the bench and the trees were made by my father...
Steeleye Span - 'Gaudete' I love the spans... but listening to them sing in Latin like this reminds me of Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy...
ISLAND - Pictures [full album] one of the most incredible albums ever heard, very much in line with the dark cover designed by Giger...
Miriodor - Cobra Fakir prog from Canada, transversal, echoes of Gentle Giant, but very personal
Black Sabbath - Eternal Idol (Studio Version) underrated album, not a masterpiece but very good, boycotted because at the time Iommi and c. held some concerts in South Africa before the fall of apartheid, a thing that didn’t happen to the Queen... wonder why...
Coheed and Cambria - Welcome Home something new can still be found..
Frank Zappa - Dog Breath Variations + Uncle Meat well...it certainly couldn't be missing...
