George Foreman vs. Muhammad Ali - The Final Round - October 30, 1974
His legend is mainly based on a defeat. And Ali had never been so afraid.
Goodbye George.

Il braccio violento della legge (film 1971) TRAILER ITALIANO
Gene was one of my all-time favorites.
He exited the stage just like that, as if in a jumbled script...

Tom Waits - New Year's Eve (Special)
Without too many regrets (at least on my part), this 2024 is going to hell too. I would like to be able to say that the next one coming can't possibly be worse than the one leaving, but - as we know - certain bets are just meant to be lost...
So, a disproportionate amount of wishes to all of you who frequent this bar and who continue to give me a little bit of serenity in these shitty times.

Best wishes to everyone!

🔴 Imagine ft. The Flux Fiddlers - E Pino Daniele The Plastic Band Ono Band
For @[cofras] and @[DottorJazz] who were expecting my opinion about the album and the review of "Nero a metà" by Pino Daniele, and to whom, sorry, I won’t be able to respond since the bimbominkia reviewer hates me and prevents me from intervening, I don’t even know why nor do I care. No big deal (2): one less idiot to argue with... No big deal (2): I would have skipped this yet another review of a well-known album anyway, as useful as an anal sphincter on the forearm.
Moreover, I should have reiterated, going against the grain, my little love for both Pino and Daniele! I do not deny their musical value (objectively I couldn’t) but, unfortunately, I dealt with him (even indirectly) and I knew the musicians he played with up to the early albums (and I know how he treated them...). I believe that, in that boiling and richest broth of aromas, music, and genius that was Naples between the aftermath of ’77 and the mid-‘80s, he was simply the smartest and luckiest (and also cynical) and that from that melting pot came out gems and masterpieces often too little known or that never even got recorded. But I risk going on too long and being misunderstood.
However, I’d also like to take this chance to tell @[Dislocation] that my philosophy teacher was a teacher. I remember her well: a young, newly hired novice, clumsy and ignorant like few. She was not very pretty, poor dear, but she dressed in a particularly flashy and unintentionally comical way. I have very fond memories of the laughter we shared at her colorful miniskirts and how she struggled to climb on mirrors every time we, little rascals, asked her some questions or to deepen some topics... Was it really you? How nice to find you again!

I greet with joy and delight the good news of the return of ugly covers and, therefore, I cannot refrain from sharing with you 2 (I mean *TWO!*) pearls from my *very personal* collection! Ingrandisci questa immagine

The FIRST is this extraordinary and super sexy cover of an, alas, unjustly overlooked instant classic that deserved much more glory... To you ignorant folks, I would like to point out that our Vincent, in addition to having collaborated with people of the caliber of Gloria Gaynor, having released a good number of scorching dance tracks, and being a famous drag queen, is also known as Father Capretta, which is the name he is known by among the faithful of the diocese where he carries out his mission as a Catholic *priest*... And that smelly @[ZiOn] doesn't even know who he is...

FRATELLO METALLO Vaff'annate
Brother Metal passed away today and, in my opinion, at least a farewell is deserved...

Written with a black marker on cardboard for packaging, all carefully assembled by hand. Absolutely and deliberately contrary to all rules of marketing but perfectly suitable for its target (and if this isn't marketing...), for what remains (along with their first EP) the best record of a band that - at the time - had few equals live, not just in Italy.

Just to remind @[Dislocation] who the real master and connoisseur of the ugly is in all its subtle nuances Ingrandisci questa immagine
And to emphasize to him that I've been following and cultivating certain things forever, I don't just dig around on the internet to act tough...
10+10 Pisciatori controvento. 8)Elton & Betty White…

This made me think of @[Eneathedevil], to whom we can only dedicate it Ingrandisci questa immagine However, I think it's a good idea to pitch to the good @[Falloppio] for his cover: imagine the words "Falloppio's trumpets" instead of "Rolling Stones" and your face coming out of the toilet like on the cover of "Hot Rats"!

Wishing you a terrible night, I gift you something that might disturb your sleep: what has been called "the ugliest cover of all time" (let alone the laughable trivialities proposed by the cowardly polceverasco @[Dislocation]!)

They are "The Handsome Beasts," a metal band that had a following (and even an underground "success") between the '80s and '90s, mainly thanks to the performances of their singer Garry Dallaway (the guy on the cover). The band, as far as I know, is still active despite the fact that Garry left this world in 2006. I have had 4 or 5 of their albums in my hands, and the covers have always been of great taste.... But this one is the pinnacle (in fact, I searched for the album in question for a long time).
