Manu Dibango - Soul Makossa (Full Album)
Great jazz-funk... Unfortunately, Covid took him away in March.
betty harris - there's a break in the road
Great, here in a less classical production than others
Rodrigo - Concierto de Aranjuez for Guitar and Orchestra: 2. Adagio
A wonderful piece, written by someone who became blind at the age of 3 and managed to develop such a finely tuned sensitivity that translates into all this grace.
It seems to me that De André in "Tutti morimmo a stento" drew inspiration from it (see first notes).
Portrait Of A Man - Screamin' Jay Hawkins
"I'm so tired of how he feels inside,
I mix the paint with my hand
I am painting in oil, a portrait of a man"
Bob Dylan And Mark Knopfler - Blind Willie Mctell
"Watch the great plantations burn
Hear the crack of the whips
Smell that blooming magnolia
See the ghosts of the slave ships
I can hear the wailing of the tribes,
I can hear the bell of the undertaker
No one can sing the blues
Like Blind Willie McTell..."
Hermeto Pascoal - Quebrando Tudo
Dionysus at the keyboard. Montreux 1979.
