About the wonderful Godfrey brothers 10/30 Sloth (2019 Remaster) From an album like this, including just one track would have been criminal, so take a look at a cover of who these two competition losers are performing. Great taste, really talented. And Robespierre's Velvet Basement confirms itself as a podium in Sudden's production. This, by the way, was originally on "Lost In A Sea of Scarves," then it also ended up in the double and extended version of Robespierre.

Regarding the wonderful Godfrey brothers 9/30 Fortune Of Fame (2019 Remaster) The first actual album by the Jacobites (on the original vinyl "Nikki Sudden & Dave Kusworth, Jacobites," then in reissues from the '90s onwards just Jacobites, but whatever) in the CD versions became a double album with almost thirty songs, gathering all the tracks recorded during those months, becoming somewhat the "encyclopedic" album of the duo/band, with a second CD that adds many other songs recorded at the time and not included in the original LP but actually also "double" at least half of the next album, still from 1985, "Lost in the Sea of Scarves" (a cursed album never reissued on CD, I believe). I’m sharing this because here the Epic Godfrey is also a co-writer.

About the wonderful Godfrey brothers 8/30 Crime & The City Solution - "Stolen & Stealing" The sign of Epic Soundtrack in this marvelous band, blood sister of Cave's Bad Seeds, born from the same split (reborn, in fact, since the original core dates back to the late '70s) of the now-defunct Birthday Party and daughter of visceral Blues, dramatic croneeristic ballads, the Doors, etc. In this wonderful EP, Epic does not just play the drums, but composes (this one and "Rose Blue") and plays the organ and piano (only here). Together with Mick Harvey, Simon Bonney, and two more wonderful little brothers, the Howard brotherz.

Nikki Sudden & Dave Kusworth Jacobites ~ Kings And Queens About the wonderful Godfrey brothers 7/30. And here they are, the Sudden-Kusworth attack duo is officially announced, with the other Godfrey, the Epic Soundtrack, back on drums. Here the duo's record is called Jacobites, but the Jacobites are obviously already these shady characters.

About the wonderful Godfrey brothers 6/30 The Only Boy In Heaven (Remastered) Nikki's second soloist, 19ottantae3, doesn't have the brother inside, but there’s already Kusworth and, above all, a lot of Waterboys getting involved (Mike Scott co-produces, plays the piano, writes together with Sudden, Thistlethwaite the same, Wilkinson on drums). A very beautiful album.

turning of the tide Richard Thompson devonside Richard Thompson It doesn't matter if it's one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard or simply a delightful and warm pop tune, the point is that another thing I adore about this Maestro is his voice. Sir Richard's voice has something that makes me feel at home, safe, it makes you feel good.

Luci lontane If I had been there in 1986 and someone had predicted that the next three albums would be even more beautiful than this one, I would have laughed in their face. Instead...

Van Der Graff-Ship of Fools-Vital 1978 25 + 5 songs by Hammill that aren’t always the usual classics, to rediscover scattered gems in an endless discography (and indeed, with all his songs, one could re-pave the Grande Raccordo Anulare). Did you really think VDGG would be left out? Come on. (30/25)

Cowgirl in the Sand (2009 Remaster) How many people, twenty years later, have drawn inspired ideas from this guitar sound? From this way of playing (or rather, mistreating) the guitar? How many seeds did Uncle Nello plant before he could reap the fruits himself, together with his young, diverse students of every type and musical style (from Pearl Jam to Dinosaur Jr. to Sonic Youth) in the '90s? In this track, the sound of those guitars in their sharp digressions is so incredible that the sung parts disturb me; they might as well not be there.
