chariot choogle t.rex I truly believe that the riff of this amazing track is among my all-time favorites.

Shirley Collins & The Albion Country Band • Murder of Maria Marten (1971) UK @[IlConte] this is (perhaps) the masterpiece of this beautiful album. Murder Ballad is inspired by the famous case of the red barn murder, from which Tom Waits also took his "Murder in the Red Barn," indeed. This is a story I've had in my head since I was a child; I had a little book about all these stories of deaths/murders/ghosts from Great Britain, such joy!

Shearwater - A Hush Great band too, Shearwater, at the time still twin brothers of Okkervil River.

The Breeders - Archangel Thunderbird Releasing an album after 10 years, covering Amon Duul II: how can you not feel fondness for the little sisters?

Roy Harper - Girlie So much Nick Drake, 3 years before Nick Drake. Because Roy from 1969 to 1977 at least did... well, what he did, but in this first baroque folk school album there are already sublime songs worthy of standing among the great pieces of that "movement." Like this one, which is delightful.

Led Zeppelin - Gallows Pole fordítás hunsub Zeppola version of a traditional British piece, acoustic-electric. The final electrification of the track, although in a style so very different, recalls the work done on traditional British folk by the esteemed and dear Fairport Convention in the previous year. And from there to "Battle of Evermore" is just a snap of the fingers.

Bee Gees - Country Lanes @[mrbluesky] I know you won't agree, but for me this is the last great song by the Bee Gees (along with "Come on Over"), the last gem, the last shot. After this, they'll be something else, which I no longer like. But this one revisits old paths and still evokes so much emotion.

Beethoven Concerto per Piano e Orchestra N 5 Op 73 Imperatore Zimerman Wiener Philharmon The adagio of this concert is one of those pieces that I listen to rarely due to its overwhelming emotional involvement, much like "Rock Bottom," "Pink Moon," and "Pawn Hearts," or going back to classical music, the adagio from Mozart’s violin concerto, K216.

The Blasters "Colored Lights" What could come out from Er Puma and the Blasters if not such a perfect song?

The Blasters - Samson And Delilah (1985) @[Pinhead] between a Led Zeppelin record and the next, Blasters night.

Mark Hollis (1998 Full Album) Apocryphal PARLAPARLA week.

For the PARLAPARLA WEEK Talk Talk - TOMORROW STARTED - 1984 From that little gem of the second album.

Black Sabbath Snowblind Studio Version, Remastered, HQ In Rome, everyone is out sniffing, uh, playing with snowballs.

With all the Led Zeppelin listens, you literally pushed me towards that recap I wanted to do for a while, here starting with the best one, the first Babe I'm Gonna Leave You Aside from Plant's 100 "Babe," there’s the amazing class of the band in this electro-acoustic field, more acoustic than electric, and the energy they unleash even like this.

17 29 Dollari (e una borsetta di coccodrillo) [Laura Fedele] (Tom Waits Cover) Quite "alienating" to hear Waits translated into Italian. A round of applause for the courage, though.

19 Ruby's Arms [Megan Mullally] (Tom Waits Cover) Megan Mullaly's version of the masterpiece "Heartattack and Vine" taken from Volume 1 of the tribute to Tommaso "Female Tribute to Tom Waits"

Tom Waits-Come On Up To The House Tom has always known how to do grand finales, that's for sure. I would always include this track if I had to make a Greatest Hits of just 20 songs. This song has something special, something irresistible; it comes at the end and manages to stand out above a series of amazing songs that came before it.

Tom Waits - Cold Water One of my favorite songs from this fantastic album.

R.E.M. - Wendell Gee Chill melodies.
