I'm correcting the definition given ages ago (ancient, I presume). In the past year, I've revisited the post-Tunnel Of Love production and I must say that, although it doesn't quite measure up to the 1973-87 period, it still maintains a good average level; Bruce's skill in writing songs often makes the difference. He remains one of my constants in life, alongside Dylan and Young and the whole American singer-songwriter scene.

Van Morrison

What is there to define? Van the Man. Moreover, he is also known for being the one who is referred to as "oh yes, the singer of the Doors!" in musical conversations with less knowledgeable people.

Lucio Dalla

The only downside is that by the mid-'80s it practically faded away, but his albums up to that point (from "Il giorno aveva cinque teste" to "Dalla," his peak) place him at the top of my personal ranking of Italian singer-songwriters.

I still haven't figured out why they became so famous. Probably because of the image, certainly not for the music. The classic Greatest Hits band and that's it.

UFO

Absolutely underrated group in the hard rock scene of the '70s. The period with Schenker (but not just that, they produced great albums until the mid '80s) is of very high quality.
