A tremendous talent, so he deserves a 5. Personally, however, I've never appreciated him much. Great music, but especially in the '80s, drowned in the sounds and reverbs of that era (I find the very early stuff from the late '70s interesting). On an iconographic and content level, he has never interested me (in fact, he has always been cordially unpleasant).

The Smiths

Even with The Queen Is Dead, a 5 is guaranteed, but I have a really strange relationship with them: I listen to 4-5 songs in a row with great satisfaction, then they become tedious. I find Morrissey's voice beautiful for a short period, after that it gets on my nerves. Oh, speaking of sympathies, Morrissey is like annoyance personified.
