The discs of Pink Floyd, according to my conception, belong to the genre of "classics," meaning works that have managed to convey the eternal feelings of the human soul expressed at their best and the fundamental characteristics of their time. This magical fusion of pathos and epos was born in the 60s amidst the fairy-tale tones and hallucinogenic journeys of Barrett, continues through the unrestrained symphonism of AHM, and culminates in the masterpieces of the 70s, all worthy of being among the great masterpieces of music of all time. One of my favorite bands.

The first album is legendary, then 4 good albums (with some peaks like Islands) and another absolute masterpiece (Red). After that, they haven't inspired me much; I find a lot of technique and little empathy, maybe I'll change my mind...

Piero Scaruffi

I'll give you two ooopptions: 1) Scaruffi: A is a music critic who wants to encourage listening to complex music by belittling bands he actually likes... B is a bit of a clueless critic... who doesn't understand a damn thing about music and writes reviews after getting high, or rather after having a Pera Ubu. C is a laughing fool. If the truth were hidden in A, Scaruffi would be a fantastic revolutionary critic... 5 stars. If it were in B, he would be a junkie, while Jim Morrison would make him look like a child... If the real Scaruffi were concealed in C, even among fools he would remain misunderstood... Doing the math 5 + 1 + (-1) = 5/15 3.5 Go listen to some Beatles, will you...

The Beatles

but who cares, at first a carefree rock 'n' roll band, then from Rubber Soul onward, a masterpiece after another. The only flaw is Ringo Starr who looks out of place compared to other drummers, but those are details...

Tim Buckley

An underrated artist who has made very, very interesting records, rich in sound ideas and with his unmistakable voice of a navigator of the stars. Love me, as if someday you'd hate me...
