An excellent lyricist, with lyrics handled with intelligence and subtlety. A good composer, melodies arranged with experience and professionalism. A humble character, consciously distant from glitz and gossip. A bit faded in the 2000s. Many steps above some of his peers. Those who don't know him well speak only out of stupidity.

Edoardo Bennato

You don't spit on the old Edo. Although he has been overshadowed by some pretty under-the-radar work in the last 20 years, I believe that what he did in the first 20 remains a significant part of the history of our artisanal singer-songwriter scene.

I only save something nice from the '80s. It could have evolved (certainly not by emulating the father), but instead, it wasted the next 20 years of its career in the most idiotic, repetitive panettone-trash comedy.

Giorgio Faletti

Formerly a very funny comedian, I remember him at the Drive-in in the '80s and in various subsequent shows. He was a type of trash that was never vulgar, unlike today where if you don't say "fuck" or express stupid double meanings at Zelig or Colorado, no one laughs. A good thriller writer and actually mediocre in his short singing career in the early '90s. After all, he deserves a solid 4!
