Eyehategod

Even though I hate labels, the putrid, ragged, and drugged sound of these crazy ones can only be called SLUDGE. Absolutely fantastic, with "Dopesick" standing out among all their work.

He has done some excellent things in my opinion (Stereopathetic Soulmanure, Mellow Gold, Odelay, and Sea Change deserve a lot), but also many despicable crap.

Strap It On all my life... A masterpiece never surpassed despite the excellent follow-up of Meantime. I saw them live eons ago during the Betty tour, and I was mesmerized.

I don't know. They started off more than well, I find the best in the EP Enjoy Incubus, from there it went into a nosedive towards nothingness. 2, 5...

They did great things, they started as an incredibly interesting project in its sadistic process of distorting a hallucinogenic and delirious baroque pop and deliriously varied noise-afro-psych-electronic (the masterful second album 'Here Comes The Indian')...a process that culminated in the beautiful acoustic textures/melodies reminiscent of a Brian Wilson committed in a mental institution on 'Sung Tongs'. Then, for me, they terribly lost their way...what a shame.
