Wonderful. May Satan keep you in glory, dear Rowland.

Nothing more than healthy, putrid, and dilapidated garage-blues-rn'r dripping with alcohol, shit, and liters of sweat. All it takes is putting on ‘gems' like "Popular Favorites" or the stunning collection of early 7", scraps, and various other tidbits from the "Sympathy Sessions" to remind me what truly excites me about Rockn'Roll...

They spoke to me in messianic tones about this bunch. I ran to get their "David Comes To Life" and I didn't understand... and to this day I still don't understand the reason for all that enthusiasm, even from the critics. Maybe it's just me, but 18 tracks where you can't tell one song from another... all the same. It sounds to me like they wanted to make some sort of personal "Zen Arcade," but who knows... the comparison is just nonexistent. Maybe it's just me... but these FUCKERS don't say much to me...

The most underrated and unjustly ignored band of the last 25 years. During the '90s, they were devastating with their strange form of noise-post-thrash industrial rhythms, almost doom-like, especially in their 1996 "Hybreed"... in my opinion, their zenith. 5 stars just for that album (although the others are no joke, except perhaps the debut from '92).

As a waiter, he wasn't that bad, the Capominchia...

I only know that 'There's a Riot Goin' On' is one of the coolest funk albums I've ever listened to in my life.

Another band from the Elephant6 collective alongside the huge Olivia Tremor Control, the modest Apples In Stereo in my opinion, and others. What can I say, at least a couple of great albums in the early phase of their career are undeniable ['The Gay Parade' and 'Coquelicot Asleep In The...']. Too bad that at a certain point they started to suck in my opinion. At least for me. 4 for the excellent early phase, up to 'Coquelicot'.

The Teardrop Explodes didn't say anything to me. As a solo artist, I adore him. "Fried" remains one of my favorite albums. I also found the relatively fresh "Revolutionary Suicide" to be a great record. He did some silly things in my opinion [like "Saint Julian" and "My Nation Underground," late '80s, where he almost flirted with the more crass '80s pop] but for the sheer goodness of the amazing things he's released (besides Krautrocksampler and Japrocksampler), he truly deserves the five pills.

Discovered this month by a brother who lives in the east. I fell in love with the collection 'Make Yourself a Happening Machine'. And with these freaks. Early '80s, balancing between hyper-fuzzy garage rock, paisley lullabies, and abundant psilocybin spores. I haven't listened to anything else in the last two weeks.
