In 10 years of work, he managed to realize one-tenth of the cinematic precipitates that Tarkovsky achieved in 10 weeks (@Muffin: I know enough about the industry to tell you that, cultivated criticism aside, any industry professional aware of what film costs will never consider a genius someone who wastes 100 rolls of 35mm to shoot a "perfect" 10-second scene, along with everything else, of course ; ).
