When the Lamb opened the sixth seal, there was a violent earthquake. The sun became black as sackcloth, the moon became like blood, the stars of the sky fell to the earth, like a fig tree shaken by the wind drops its unripe figs. The sky receded like a scroll being rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved from its place.

When the Lamb opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour, and then, as the sky opened to nothingness, a heavenly sound triumphantly announced the beginning of "Shine on you crazy diamond".
