My favorite music genres are metal and rock. For metal, I mainly lean towards progressive, doom, technical death metal, gothic, thrash, black, and my favorite metal bands are early Anathema, Death, Opeth, Dream Theater, and Sentenced.
For rock, my favorite genre is progressive rock, grunge, and psychedelic. My favorite rock bands are Pink Floyd, Alice in Chains, Premiata Forneria Marconi, U2 (up to Achtung Baby), Timoria, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and many, many others.
