Captivating in its simplicity, Tom Hardy completely at ease.
Ari Folman The Congress

One of the most interesting films released in recent years, both for its form and its content. I loved the dichotomy between the first live-action part and the second animated one. I've been eagerly awaiting every film by Ari Folman since he gave birth to what is one of my top 10 favorite movies of all time, "Waltz with Bashir." It's a shame he takes a bit too long between films; we'll see his next project on Anne Frank.
Olivier Assayas Personal Shopper

I clearly preferred "Sils Maria" by Assayas, not sure if it's due to the theme addressed or, more banally, because the element of ghosts in films has never really convinced me. Or maybe it’s because there was Binoche in that one and not here. In any case, we are dealing with a director with a capital D, and Stewart delivered yet another good performance. However, I wouldn't call it a masterpiece.

I know this debut album by heart; it’s one of my absolute favorite Italian records. I even prefer it to the more acclaimed Rum Casusu. However, I don’t see any downward trends in their career; on the contrary, I agree with ...Caz..., I find their more recent albums like Cicciput, Studentessi, and the latest Figgatta de Blanc to be genius, rich in creativity, musically orgasmic, and with lyrics that are almost always intelligent, ironic, and surreal. They are a unique phenomenon in Italian music, worth cloning.
Ron Underwood Tremors

great trash classic...damn how uncouth Bacon and Ward are! Memorable
Asghar Farhadi Il passato

In my opinion, both "A Separation" and "The Client" are superior; however, a great director who conveys emotional tension and raises moral doubts with uncommon intelligence.

Jim Jarmusch Paterson
Voto:
Certainly one of the best films of 2016. To those who said or thought "what a bore" during the screening, I would suggest giving up on cinema and dedicating themselves to other activities like five-a-side football or merengue. Delightful protagonists and supporting characters, just like in almost all of Jarmusch's works, who, after "Only Lovers Left Alive," reaffirms his regained flair; one of the most original directors out there.
