"At least try to blend in without attracting attention" can you explain to me what this arrogant phrase means? I'm not addressing you in this offensive manner, so why can't we have a calm conversation without insulting each other like politicians on Ballarò?

But you see, expressing one’s opinion means trying to make a subjective view objective in a dialectical comparison; instead, "de gustibus" means saying "everyone has their own tastes, so it’s pointless to make comparisons or say that 'this is better or worse than that'."

But then what the hell are you doing here?? Are you here to say "de gustibus"? To prove that everyone has their own idea and sticks to it, and "tastes are tastes" and continue to wallow in pure subjectivism, since no one will ever be right? Then it's pointless to keep talking on a music site; the debate goes to hell. If you love "de gustibus," then I don’t understand why you get upset if someone (and I emphasize NOT ME) compares Aguilera to Queen, since "de gustibus," right? Does everyone have the right to say and write whatever they want, or are there objective limits to the bullshit a person can spew?

Jack Daniel's, I’ve shared my opinion, now it’s up to you to prove why this record is a masterpiece, go ahead, I'm all ears.

jack daniel's, obviously you can't read, because if you think that I compared Queen to Christina Aguilera, it means you really can't read. That said, do you want the reasons why this album is mediocre compared to the best of the '80s? It's obvious that I'll give you my reasons, which don't claim to be the gospel, but still make at least an attempt at objectivity, without falling into the pure and pointless subjectivism of "I like/don't like." "One Vision" is a pop piece disguised with a hard rock riff that is already shockingly banal in itself, yet in light of much of the rest of the album, I must say it’s one of the redeemable tracks, despite the overwhelming hyper-polished production. "A Kind of Magic," for a fan of the real Queen, those from '73 to '77 to be clear, is truly mortifying, with tacky arrangements and a pathetic, pandering use of electronics. "One Year of Love": all that comes to mind in this track are the grim karaoke with pre-recorded backing that can be appreciated at street corners in the summer. "Pain is So Close to Pleasure" is a total void, symptomatic of how the creative vein during that period was at historical lows, a silly little tune arranged with the sounds that were trendy at the time. Luckily, the next two tracks raise the level a bit. "Friends Will Be Friends" is indeed arranged in the usual horrible way, but at least the composition is somewhat worthy of Mercury; "Who Wants to Live Forever" is perfect for showcasing Freddie's extraordinary voice (it probably sounded even better live). In "Gimme the Prize," we find hard rock trying to be edgy, but it's nothing more than a caricature of what they were in the '70s. "Don't Lose Your Head" is, I think, one of those tracks that would fully belong in a hypothetical compilation of the worst of the '80s. And to conclude, what I believe is the best track on the album, "Princes of the Universe," which probably fits the film the best; Mercury, as usual, displays an unmatched voice, and the backing vocals aren't bad either. In short, for me, this album is worth 2 out of 5, and it's one of the worst albums in Queen's discography in terms of composition and arrangements.

"We're just us": this piece is history, if it had been born outside the Italian borders... if Lou Reed had written it, it would be considered a classic of world rock music>> HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Note that it was you who addressed me saying that I make people burst out laughing; I was calm and composed already before, since comment 111, which aimed to build a dialogue on the topic.

But then what does having a great voice have to do with it? She has a fantastic voice like thousands and thousands of backup singers around the world, it’s just that she’s lucky enough to have a nice little body and is therefore marketable in the commercial circuit by record companies. Far from being a great artist.

Percy, I mentioned Aguilera because she duetted in the concert captured by Scorsese. I even saw the movie in the theater.

But you really crack me up when you say that A Kind of Magic is a great album because Mick Jagger and Robert Plant admire Queen. Is that really the reasoning? If one day you hear Mick Jagger say he respects Christina Aguilera, does that suddenly make her a great artist? How about thinking for yourself?
