I’m now convinced that post-rock, understood in these terms, is no longer for me... here too, there are too many pointless guitar riffs, exaggerated and unwarranted walls of sound that leave no mark, at least as far as I'm concerned... even the use of strings doesn't stimulate me at all... except for the beginning of "The silent glance of Andromeda" and little else.
Mono You Are There
Voto:
"Even though Spiderland is still a great album, these guys are light years ahead and create unique atmospheres".... I had missed this gem, for heaven's sake let's forget about the Slint who are in a completely different category compared to the honest Mono. Honestly, I find this album boring and not original at all, these post-rock progressions have tired me out, in this "You are There" they create nothing new, but meticulously reiterate the stereotypes of the genre. I give it a 3 because I'm feeling generous.

I really like this album, especially the riff in "In my Blood" and above all the final track "No One Heard," which is spectacular, as is its lyrics.
Marillion Misplaced Childhood

beautiful album, I listened to it skeptically and in the end I was won over...anyway, heavily raided by DT, even more than I thought
Clutch The Elephant Riders
Voto:
Initially, I had the entire discography, but after listening to them several times, I found them repetitive and quite pointless, so I started to eliminate all the albums one by one. I ended up keeping just a couple of tracks from "The Elephant Riders" and the album "From Beale Street To Oblivion," just to remember who they are.
Frank Darabont Le ali della Libertà
Voto:
The grandiose title is what they assigned to it in Italy; the original is "The Shawshank Redemption," but they thought it might not sell enough tickets. Let's say that if one primarily looks for the plot in a movie, they will be satisfied here; King’s story is very beautiful and engaging... however, seeing it topping the charts of several websites and specialized magazines makes it a bit overrated. I give it a 5 for sentimental reasons.
Clint Mansell The Fountain

beautiful review, for the soundtrack I definitely prefer the piano pieces, while the "crescendo" in the style of Mogwai or the "bland post-rock" intrigue me much less. Overall, a great OST.

a sound a bit too corny for my tastes... not a terrible album, but I don't see anything special about it.
Paul Gilbert Get Out Of My Yard

of this, I only keep "Hurry Up," "My Teeth Are A Drum Set," and "You Kids," the rest of the album ranges from useless to pathetic.
