You have to absolutely listen to the live version of "Cave" on "Hullabaloo." The album has its ups and downs, but it’s definitely better than the crap they just released. Showbiz is extraordinary.

Great review! I listened to the album and it was exactly as you described... A great piece of classy AOR; it's been a while since I've heard an album like this, and considering it comes from as far back as 1981, I'm even more amazed. For now, I give the album a 4, but who knows, maybe with more listens the rating will go up...

Here Jeff Soto delivers a great performance; the first song of the album, I think, has been an inspiration for thousands of power groups, who later adopted its typical structure. Here the solos are always showy but do not overstep the bounds of good taste, as there is a greater attention to respecting the canons of the song form.
