Idiot that you are, if you had a deep understanding of music, you wouldn't be praising an album that is predictable in every way. Moreover, I reiterate, you haven't been able to provide a single argument of any kind in dozens of posts against the fact that this album is a jumble of styles piled together without any originality and without intent of re-elaboration. So either you respond to this, or I can justifiably continue to consider you a colossal buffoon.

No, the reality is different: Lux is someone who knows a lot of fundamental artists in the rock field and has his own clear ideas on the criteria for judging them, while you are a poor ignorant who not only knows jack shit but also can't argue those few bullshit opinions he holds true.

anonymous idiot, can you understand the difference between criticism and offense? Perhaps your one underdeveloped neuron struggles too hard to grasp such concepts...

You said "it's no longer holding up to the comparison," but with whom? With absolute nothingness? With someone who hasn't been able to justify their positions, let alone come up with a scrap of an idea? One piece of advice: go to America and stay there as long as possible; you certainly won't contribute to the brain drain.

@!dreamtheater!: I can see why it’s not fun for you to discuss this — you don’t have a single argument to musically defend Systematic Chaos! And throughout all these messages, you’ve clearly demonstrated this, just as it’s evident that you’re a high-level ignorant when it comes to rock, so tone it down a bit. @lux: just ignore him, you’re only wasting time with this goat; you’re not getting anywhere.

In commercial music, a record or an artist refers to those who aim to produce what the MASSES of listeners expect (and not the moderately cultured lovers of good music), almost exclusively to enrich their finances, to the absolute detriment of artistic quality. To recognize commercial records or artists, it requires not only a certain sensitivity but also at least a decent CULTURE in the musical field, which presupposes listening to hundreds or thousands of records.

Well, even shows like "Uomini e donne" by Maria De Filippi are "TRENDING" among young people (thankfully not all), but this is certainly not synonymous with value, on the contrary... BEING TRENDING for me has nothing to do with the quality of a band's music; in fact, it's often quite the opposite. p.s.: can you express two concepts without always quoting other people's phrases? It's really annoying.

"A PEARL IN THE MIDST OF THE MUSICAL SHIT SURROUNDING US"... it’s clear that if you take as a benchmark what is offered on the radio and TV, even Eros Ramazzotti will seem like a great artist to you.

@longliverock: OK, Nirvana, Guns, Iron are the most covered... so what? Of course, this doesn't mean they are in any way more important than Slint, Tortoise, or Labradford (who don't make cheap post-rock as you've claimed, and I could name another 1000). It just means they are better known and mythologized among the youth, but musical quality is certainly not measured by celebrity. After all, if I listened to the radio, MTV, or mainstream news channels, I wouldn’t know 90% of the artists I listen to, many of whom, by the way, aside from my musical preference, have been hundreds of times more important and fundamental to the history of rock. To give you an example, have you ever listened to "Rock Bottom" by Robert Wyatt or "Third" by Soft Machine? I don’t think those albums deserve any less visibility than the records of Guns and the like, but unfortunately, if you ask 100 kids on the street if they know Robert Wyatt, you’ll be lucky if 1 or 2 respond affirmatively, while at least 70-80 out of 100 will know the Guns. All this because quality, barring rare cases, doesn’t sell, while often garbage (not specifically referring to the bands you mentioned which I partially appreciate, but in general) magically brings in dollars.

"YOU'RE TOO LIMITED TO UNDERSTAND THIS CD"...sorry but here my Romanesco kicks in automatically: now you’ve stretched out like Ardo Fabbrizzi's underwear! A mariodream, you're really a gaggio, you eat shit and think it’s cheese!
