Quite communicative in its "violence"... Angel Tears conveys a lot of epic suffering with its sulfurous riffs... definitely a band worth exploring...

The first 4 minutes of "In a Silent Way" are of stunning beauty... and the rest doesn’t fall short either... If I had to choose my 10 favorite jazz albums, this one would easily make the cut. Thank you Miles, and thanks to all the acids that made you create this paradise... ;) The perfect preface to that impenetrable monolith that many consider the el dorado of music, "Bitches Brew."

"We're in the early '90s, and the rock scene has now split in two: on one side, thrash metal, on the other, the grunge scene of Seattle." Oh really? And here I was thinking there were also Post rock, Noise rock, Slow-Core, Math-Rock, Industrial, Shoegaze, Sludge, Stoner, Ambient...well, I must be confused...

@psycroptic: I never said that I take reviews of Brutal or Grind bands as a personal offense. New releases are always welcome... I just said that Odious Mortem are the photocopy of the photocopy of a thousand other bands and that I would prefer the percentage of brutal metal reviews on the homepage not to rise from the current 80% to 99%... am I asking too much?

Classic Bay Area thrash from the '80s, halfway between Metallica and Megadeth; I think they see 5 stars through binoculars... maybe because I've gotten a bit tired of this genre over time... anyway, considering Skolnick a "guitar genius" seems a bit excessive to me... rather, a good craftsman of more traditional metal guitar.

@sly: downloading mp3s is not a crime unless it constitutes a source of profit. That said, the review seems a bit simplistic in its description as it sterilely dwells on surface elements...and come on..."a work of extraordinary beauty"..."3 beautiful minutes"..."wonderful riff"..."nice interlude"..."this song is beautiful"..."great keyboard solo"..."one of the most beautiful songs"..."let's finish the album beautifully"..."the beautiful opening riff"..."infinitely beautiful cover"..."for an album to be beautiful"..."beautiful variation"... The album isn't bad, but more than other episodes, it seems to have a essentially contrived progressive vein...I'll give it a 4 but it would be a 3.6...

"Continued stylistic variation"???????? Nickelback?? Hahahaha!! What a useless band packaged and wrapped for supermarkets.

Sorry, what do you mean by "it's going to be very hot"? Are you starting to write reviews in a frenzy to reach the Guinness World Record of 1500? I hope not, honestly... Anyway, I've listened to "Odious Mortem" and they seem like a band just like at least 300 others.
