Initially, Clutch thrilled me like crazy, but now, perhaps because I've listened to them too much, they make me yawn a bit. In their genre, I prefer Fu Manchu and Kyuss. I find Clutch to be somewhat self-indulgent; for me, they often come across more as a standardized 70s Sabbath-esque sound rather than true stoner rock. This album is not bad, but nothing special, certainly not worth five stars.
