Metallica Death Magnetic
Voto:
An essential review and album just like Anna Tatangelo's Greatest Hits.
Mercury Rev Deserter's Songs
Voto:
I also have the same feeling of superficiality in Deserter's Songs, even though it contains some excellent tracks. Of course, "Yerself Is Steam" is another planet.
Stanley Kubrick 2001: Odissea Nello Spazio

@the best: that scene is at the beginning of the film, so either you have some serious narcolepsy issues, or you don’t even know what you’re talking about.

Smashing Pumpkins Adore

Massyboy, you consider Industrial and Trip-Hop as genres outside of rock (!!) and then tell others that they don't understand much?? I just want to add that Kid A is great but it's far from being the masterpiece it's made out to be...
Guns And Roses Use Your Illusion 1&2
Voto:
I quite like "Use your illusion," but the fact that it now becomes the deciding factor to determine whether someone knows about music or not seems like pure blasphemy to me.
Van Halen Van Halen
Voto:
Eddie was revolutionary when it came to developing guitar technique, that’s for sure, but it’s absurd to think that this alone makes him the best guitarist or one of the best... Anyway, I’ve been playing guitar for years and I realize that for a hard rock enthusiast, Eddie is like the Messiah or something close. As a music lover, though, the hierarchies change quite a bit since I care about groove only until noon and what I seek is ART. So, I definitely prefer guitarists who are technically less flashy but thousands of times more creative and original, like Lee Ranaldo or Dave Pajo. Groove and the quest for technical skill were the ultimate goals of my listening when I was 17-18-19 years old... ART is the next step.
Van Halen Fair Warning
Voto:
The revolutionary Van Halen??? Oh well, I've really heard it all now... But if they make hard rock that's as static and conservative as it gets... come on, I can’t believe anyone could seriously say such things. They’ve made entertaining and fun albums, great hard rock... but to call them among the most revolutionary is a complete distortion of reality...
