It's my favorite album, alongside "Red" by King Crimson, and every time I listen to "Volume2," I'm struck by how they still manage to surprise me today, 15 years after my first listen, with their sounds, rhythms, and vocalizations. There's nothing conventional about it; it's much bolder compared to Miles Davis's albums from that period...
