...for me, nu metal has little to do with real metal... so POD, LP, and Bizkit fit right in, even "Take a Look in the Mirror" by Korn from 2002 feels very 'nu' to me; in my opinion, the early Korn inadvertently launched nu metal, as it was simply an alternative crossover... that's how I see it.

What really gets to me is that you keep insisting that for me the nu is from Bizkit, from Korn since 1998 onwards and then ruined by Pod and LP!!! For me, that's how it is; if you had written that it was launched by the Rockets, I wouldn't have pointed out what I consider to be your nonsense... I don't know... I feel like I'm being persecuted... :)

No, no, don't worry! I didn't mean to say that I'm an expert, but in my opinion, Korn started nu metal with "Follow The Leader" and the hit "Freak on a Leash." However, the genre was really launched by the Bizkit because, in the end, nu metal has very little metal in it!! Let's be honest, the early Korn weren't very 'light' at all!

For me, they just want to be a bit alternative, and what happened on September 11, 2001 saved their asses... they made a lot of noise because their "Toxicity" came out at a delicate time, especially for the "Orientals" in the USA. I partly support those who call them nu metal, but they are really one of the most overrated bands in recent years... as for the review, Korn did not launch nu metal; listen to the first albums of Korn and then tell me if they are nu metal. If anything, nu was created by Limp Bizkit and partly by POD and Linkin Park... cheers!
